Sony WFH Internship 2024 Eligibility Criteria :

• Candidates pursuing or has completed MS/MSc/MTech/PhD level degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Data Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Applications or other closely related technical discipline, will be considered for the internship program.

Work Location:

• Remote work within India.

Duration of the internship:

• The internship will be for 6 months starting first week of August 2024.
• The working hours are from 9:00 AM to 18:00 PM IST (Monday to Friday).

Essential Skills:

• Strong knowledge and relevant programming experience with Python, PyTorch, and other ML and DL libraries, mainly for Computer Vision tasks.
• Prior experience in applying advanced transformer-based models to video understanding, situation/action recognition and caption generation problems for videos.
• Prior experience of using advanced object detection models.
• Experience in successful implementation of state-of-the-art models for video analysis-based tasks.

Good to have Skills:

• Demonstrated research capabilities through relevant publication record in top-tier conferences like ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, CVPR, ECCV, etc.
• Programming experience with Scikit-Image, Pandas, OpenCV.
• Knowledge on efficient large vision models, foundation models or multi-modal approaches for different computer vision tasks using videos.
• Strong mathematical understanding of ML concepts.

Job Purpose:

Internships at Sony Research India (SRI) are aimed at offering students with an opportunity to industry exposure and a production level project experience. The primary responsibility in this role will be to positively contribute to the growth and development of innovative technologies at SRI. During the internship, you will work closely with research scientists and other members in the team on various development and optimization tasks in object detection, tracking and recognition, large vision models, video generation, content moderation, etc. In addition, you’ll be expected to actively work on AI development activities daily, be it training, testing, fixing bugs or other routines for building a robust model.
