Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Junior UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to create compelling and intuitive user experiences for our digital products. You will contribute to all stages of the design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and usability testing. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong foundational skills in UX design principles, proficiency with design tools, and an ability to conceptualize and execute design solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering user requirements through methods like interviews and surveys.
- Conduct research on user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites and apps function and look.
- Assist in UI design tasks, such as creating visual designs, icons, and other graphical assets that adhere to brand guidelines and enhance usability.
- Work closely with senior designers and cross-functional teams (product managers, developers, etc.) to refine designs based on feedback and user testing results. Iterate on designs to continuously improve the user experience.
- Document design decisions, rationale, and processes. Present design ideas and solutions to team members and stakeholders effectively, using clear and persuasive communication.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices in UX design, technologies, strategies and usability principles.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, methodologies, and design challenges. Seek feedback and actively participate in mentorship opportunities to grow professionally.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and creative team environment. Participate in brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and other team activities to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assist in project management tasks related to UX design, such as organizing design files, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with team members to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of UX design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Ability to conduct user research and usability testing under supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to take direction and work in a collaborative environment.
