Job Overview:
As a Deskside Support Engineer at Arm, you will work with a team to improve the IT user experience across all departments, including engineering and marketing. Your role is to provide the best possible IT experience for users, regardless of their operating system or technical ability. You will continually strive to excel in everything you deliver, supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as mobile devices, basic networking, and collaboration tools such as Teams, Slack, and Zoom. The Deskside Support team handles all support requests that cannot be resolved by our Service Desk or Remote Support teams, ranging from new user device setup to more complex desktop issues. The team is the go-to solution for ensuring that all colleagues are productive in their daily work at Arm.
Responsibilities:
- You will represent the human face of IT technology to all office users in our offices.
- Supporting the Arm global users on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
- Accountable for the support of technology however and wherever it is used by the people you support!
Required Skills and Experience :
- Experience working in a geographically diverse organization.
- Provide dedicated support to key decision-makers and the wider community.
- Personalize work and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Have hands-on technical experience with Windows, Mac, or Linux.
- Have strong IT asset management knowledge and experience.
- Work to tight SLAs and KPIs while focusing on customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Domain, DNS, DHCP, and cloud technologies.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Possessing an ITIL Foundation certification or having a good knowledge of ITIL principles is desirable.
